I spend a majority of my day in the kitchen and getting it well organized has been one of my goals for months, if not years now. I just get over-whelmed and don't know where to start.
I see my clutter and things everyday, so I needed new eyes to look at my space and help me find better ways to utilize it. So I asked my good friend, Brooke to come over and look at it and give me some tips. She was such a great help! Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective on all your "stuff" and what to do with it. So I started over the oven range with the cabinets that are up high. I already tried to do a little organization on my own, and purchased large canisters for cereal. After getting started, I realized I can use them for chips and pretzels also. It was a total "DUH" moment for me. Definitely proof we get used to our dis-organization!
I pulled everything out, the box of 'toasted rice cereal' is unopened, and I have a large canister full of it also, so I didn't bother opening it yet...but we had 3 bags of popcorn kernels, lots of microwave popcorn just floating around (we really love popcorn at my house), 3 bags of chips and pretzels, and a cheese-grater.
My goal with my organization re-do is to get as much as my storage solutions from the Dollar Tree. They have a huge variety of storage solutions available, and are a fraction of the cost of similar items at Walmart or Target. I know I won't be able to get everything there, but it will help on the ol' pocketbook!
